Before Treatment

  • Prior to your procedure, your skin will be cleansed, and an anesthetic cream will be applied for about 20 minutes prior to your treatment to make the procedure more comfortable for you. Upon request, we can also use an injectable lidocaine to further minimize discomfort.

During Treatment

  • Our experienced nurse injectors will discuss your areas of concern and assess the area under your chin.  We will apply a temporary tattoo to help identify the treatment area under your chin. This tattoo will be removed after the treatment. Kybella™, once injected, may cause a lite burning or tingling sensation that lasts for about 5 minutes. Once this burning sensation resolves, you will have some swelling in the treated area.

After Treatment

Kybella™, once injected, may cause a lite burning or tingling sensation that lasts for 5-10 minutes. Once this burning sensation resolves, you will have some swelling in the treated area. Swelling is expected in the treatment area and can last from 5-10 days. You may also have bruising, tenderness, numbness, and mild discomfort, which usually lasts anywhere from 5-14 days. You will see results in 4-8 weeks.
